Ricky Bloomfield, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer at ŌURA, where he sets the vision and strategy for Oura’s healthcare delivery and market positioning, Dr. Bloomfield is responsible for creating and expanding healthcare programs and partnerships and collaborating across the organization to drive new hardware products and software features to scale healthcare solutions.  He is a physician, entrepreneur, developer, and clinical informaticist who is passionate about using technology to improve the health of all people. 
 
Before ŌURA, Dr. Bloomfield served as Clinical and Health Informatics Lead at Apple, where he worked on products that empower patients to improve their health. 
 
Prior to that, he spent time as the Director of Mobile Technology Strategy at Duke University Health System and he has worked as a pediatric hospitalist at both Duke and Stanford Children’s Hospital. 

Dr. Bloomfield graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in Chemistry and a BS in Secondary Education. He earned his Medical Doctorate (MD) from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and completed his residency at UNC Hospitals, where he trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and served as Pediatric Chief Resident. He has been board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Clinical Informatics.
