Brent Layton

Brent Layton is President and Chief Operating Officer of Centene Corporation (No. 24 US Fortune 500), a leading multi-line healthcare enterprise that works to ensure people receive quality healthcare through government-funded programs.

Since joining Centene in 2006, Mr. Layton has overseen the development and implementation of new health plans in more than 25 states and provides strategic guidance to state governments to help them develop effective Medicaid solutions. He has developed many new products and companies including Centene’s innovative member incentive program, CentAccount. In addition, Mr. Layton develops innovative partnerships with providers and health systems where he is leading the company’s effort in value based purchasing, and has responsibility for the development and maintenance of provider networks that serve over 25 million members.

Mr. Layton served on the Board of Directors of Ribera Salud, an integrated provider of government-sponsored healthcare in Spain and Slovakia, and Circle Health, the largest network of integrated hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining Centene, Mr. Layton ran a managed care consulting firm and created and managed a diverse group of healthcare companies. These included vision and dental provider Avesis, Absolute Care Medical Centers, and other managed care companies in the areas of ENT, podiatry, chiropractic and behavioral health.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Layton received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He is married and has two sons, and currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri.

Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds Policy

Registrants may transfer their registration to another person at any time by notifying Anjelica Torcivia (atorcivia@healthmanagement.com) in writing. Cancellations must be made in writing to Lindsey Beck (lbeck@healthmanagement.com). Refunds minus a 20% service charge are available for cancellations received in writing 45 days or more prior to the start of the conference. No refunds are available thereafter.
