Garfield Collins

COO, NextLevel Health

Garfield S. Collins is an innovative senior health insurance executive with over 20 years of results in driving growth and profitability in competitive health insurance environments that include Medicaid, Medicare and commercial lines of business.

In 2017, Collins became Chief Operating Officer for NextLevel Health Partners where he oversees the strategy and implementation of operational units including claims, member services, provider network services, and information technology

Mr. Collins has earned an outstanding reputation for his effectiveness in working with payer, provider, state and regulatory agencies while ensuring that commitments and deliverables exceed goals for health insurance companies across the country.

Prior to coming to NextLevel Health Partners, Mr. Collins served as SVP & Chief Operating Officer of Beacon Health Options. There he developed and implemented a strategic plan guiding all operational activities including administration, clinical, claims, quality, business solutions, provider network contracting, credentialing, data management and call center functions for the Western Region Service Center.

As SVP of Operations for New Century Health, Garfield was responsible for all operational and staffing functions impacting utilization management, provider network operations, claims management and client services.

Prior to his roles as SVP for two companies, Mr. Collins built RLJ Insurance Services, a preeminent firm in the insurance and reinsurance industry for self-funded medical and voluntary benefit plans. His successful leadership of the startup was fueled by previous accomplishments at AmeriChoice (A UnitedHealth Group Company) and Perot Systems Corporation.

Mr. Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Florida Atlantic University. He is also a six-sigma black belt, experienced in process methodology and change management.

Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds Policy
Registrants may transfer their registration to another person at any time by notifying Alona Nenko (anenko@healthmanagement.com) in writing. Cancellations must be made in writing to Lindsey Beck (lbeck@healthmanagement.com). Refunds minus a 20% service charge are available for cancellations received in writing 45 days or more prior to the start of the conference. No refunds are available thereafter.
