
Jennifer Friedman
Jennifer Friedman has over 20 years of domestic and global health policy experience in the public and private sectors. She most recently served as a Counselor to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. In this capacity, she advised the Secretary on policy and politics pertaining to Medicare and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. Her previous government experience includes a decade spent working as senior congressional staff for the Ways and Means and Budget Committees in the U.S. House of Representatives. While working for the Congress she played a leading role in the development of many health policies enacted into law, including Medicare policies to advance value-based reimbursement in the Affordable Care Act.
In the private sector, Jennifer worked as Senior Director of Government Affairs and Payment Policy at Stryker, a multinational medical technology company, where she directed the company’s policy and advocacy work on Medicare payments and led efforts to strengthen Stryker’s government affairs function in Japan. This position built on her experience in Tokyo as an Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow in Japan and a senior member of the health care team at one of Japan’s leading government relations consulting firms. Other positions in her career include work at the National Rural Health Association and the Office of Management and Budget. Jennifer holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. from Georgetown University.

Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds Policy
Registrants may transfer their registration to another person at any time by notifying Anjelica Torcivia (atorcivia@healthmanagement.com) in writing. Cancellations must be made in writing to Lindsey Beck (lbeck@healthmanagement.com). Refunds minus a 20% service charge are available for cancellations received in writing 45 days or more prior to the start of the conference. No refunds are available thereafter.
