Mark grew up in St. Louis, Mo with three brothers and a sister and parents Jack and Elaine Lashley. Following a graduate degree in accounting from Missouri State College he spent a few more years in St. Louis before moving to New Jersey to really start his career. After a nearly twenty-year career with ARAMARK where he spent time working in prison healthcare and with hospitals, while living in Florida, New Jersey (twice) and Georgia. During this time Mark married his wife of nearly twenty years, Julie, and had four children including twins.
Mark left ARAMARK in 2012 to join Rural/Metro Ambulance, the nation’s second largest private ambulance company operating in twenty-three states. During his tenure with Rural/Metro, he was part of the C-suite team that lead the company from a devastating bankruptcy to successful merger with the nation’s largest private ambulance company, American Medical Response.
Shortly after departing the ambulance business, Mark was recruited to lead Caregiver, which at the time was one of Texas’ largest providers of services to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Since Mark joined two years ago, the company has built a first-rate C-Suite team, has expanded revenue by 50% and has expended services into three additional states.
Mark enjoys spending time with his very active family who are involved in theatre, sports, horseback riding, playing music, travel and more.
