Neil A. Solomon, MD

Neil A. Solomon is the Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder of MedZed, a leading organization in the field of home-based care for high-need high-cost individuals. He is responsible for the company’s model of care and clinical strategy, management of the clinical team, and demonstrating excellent outcomes. Last year the company’s two largest customers both found that hospital admissions were reduced by over 50% in their complex patients once MedZed became involved in their care.

Dr. Solomon previously held physician leadership positions at Kaiser Permanente, Health Net and Blue Shield of California. At Health Net he launched the company’s commercial ACO program, led the Quality Department, ran the Regional Medical Directors and oversaw Medical Policy. During his tenure at Kaiser he co-founded the Care Management Institute, KP’s internal think tank and development shop related to clinical innovation and population health.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Solomon founded and led NAS Consulting, A California based consultancy that provided coaching and support to risk-bearing provider organizations on topics such as Pay for Performance, implementation of EHRs, and physician leadership. During his tenure there, he led several California-wide clinical initiatives including the PBGH Breakthroughs in Chronic Care, the IHA P4P Training Series, and the State Diabetes Plan. He also Co-chaired the California Quality Collaborative and sits/sat on the Boards of Cal Hospital Compare, the California Practice Transformation Initiative Advisory Board, and the Fascioscapulohumeral Dystrophy Society.

Throughout his leadership and management work, Dr. Solomon has continued to practice Internal Medicine in primary care, urgent care, hospitalist and SNFist care, and now on the MedZed telemedicine platform.

Dr. Solomon completed his undergraduate and medical school studies at Yale, his medical residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and RWJ Clinical Scholars training at Stanford.

Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds Policy

Registrants may transfer their registration to another person at any time by notifying Lis Diaz (ldiaz@healthmanagement.com) in writing. Cancellations must be made in writing to Lindsey Beck (lbeck@healthmanagement.com). Refunds minus a 20% service charge are available for cancellations received in writing 45 days or more prior to the start of the conference. No refunds are available thereafter.
