Paul A. Tufano
Paul A. Tufano is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies, one of the nation’s leading Medicaid managed care organizations, which is headquar-tered in Philadelphia and provides products and services in 12 states and the District of Columbia. The company’s mission is to help those most in need receive care, stay well, and build healthy communities. He is also President of Independence Health Group, the parent company of Ameri-Health Caritas, where he previously served as Executive Vice President.
Prior to joining Independence Health Group and ultimately AmeriHealth Caritas, Mr. Tufano served as General Counsel of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, from January 1995 until November 1999. Mr. Tufano and a staff of over 500 attorneys represented Governor Tom Ridge and the Ex-ecutive Branch in litigation, transactions, and regulatory, legislative and criminal justice matters. He was a member of the Governor’s Cabinet and the Governor’s Senior Staff.
Prior to becoming General Counsel of the Commonwealth, Mr. Tufano was a partner with the Phila-delphia law firm of Blank, Rome, Comisky & McCauley where his practice focused on labor and employment law.
Mr. Tufano is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Villanova University and a past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. He is a former trustee of the Committee of Seventy, Franklin & Marshall College, The Pennsylvania State University (Governor’s representative), Moore College of Art & Design and Rosemont School of the Holy Child and a former board member of WHYY (public television and radio). He is a board member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. He is the past President of the Villanova University Alumni Association. Mr. Tufano is the past Chair of the Board of the Philadelphia Shipyard Development Corporation.
Mr. Tufano is a graduate of Villanova University, where he earned both his bachelor’s degree and law degree.

Transfers, Cancellations and Refunds Policy
Registrants may transfer their registration to another person at any time by notifying Lis Diaz (firstname.lastname@example.org) in writing. Cancellations must be made in writing to Lindsey Beck (email@example.com). Refunds minus a 20% service charge are available for cancellations received in writing 45 days or more prior to the start of the conference. No refunds are available thereafter.
