Carrie Graham, PhD, MGS is a Research Professor and the Director of the Medicare Policy Initiative at Georgetown University’s Center on Health Insurance Reform (CHIR) where she oversees a portfolio of Medicare policy analysis, research, and technical assistance for policymakers. Dr. Graham has been working in the field of health and aging policy for over 25 years. Previously she was the Director of Aging and Disability Policy at the Center for Health Care Strategies working on policy to integrate care for dually eligible adults and increase access to long-term services and supports. In 2019 she was a Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Ways and Means working on Medicare oversight and legislation. She also holds an Adjunct Professor appointment at the University of California, San Francisco, Institute for Health and Aging. She completed a doctoral degree in medical sociology from UCSF, a master’s degree in Gerontological studies from Miami University of Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego in Sociology and African Studies.
