Lynnette Rhodes serves as the Chief Health Policy Officer for the Georgia Department of Community Health. The Department of Community Health is the state agency
responsible for the oversight and administration of the Medicaid and CHIP programs for the state of Georgia. The Department manages a combined federal and state budget of approximately $20 billion annually and currently serves 2.2 million Medicaid and CHIP members.

Lynnette joined the Department in 2005 as a Legal Services Officer where she represented the Department in Administrative Hearings. In 2010, she was promoted to
Director of Legal Services and subsequently transitioned to the Medical Assistance Plans Division where she served as the Medicaid Director. In her role as the Medicaid
Director, Lynnette maintained oversight over Medicaid and CHIP policy, operations, and compliance. In 2023, Lynnette was promoted to her current role as Chief Health Policy Officer. In this role, she will lead the agency’s health policy initiatives.

Prior to joining the Georgia Department of Community Health, Lynnette worked with the City of Atlanta Public Defender’s Office as a Senior Public Defender. Lynnette received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida A&M University, and her Juris Doctorate degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
