As the Chief Administrative Officer, Katie was responsible for a $3.5B portfolio including heart/ vascular, neuroscience, surgical services, children’s, emergency medical services (EMS) and mobile medicine- including a fleet of helicopters and airplanes. She was the co -creator of the first programs in the healthcare system focused on population health including telemedicine, care management, community health and hospital at home.
She is the founder of the Whole Person Index, serves as the CEO of LovEvolve and an advisor for companies including Guideway Care, Honor My Decisions, Vox TeleHealth, GE Healthcare, Pfizer, and UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, among others. Kaney is a Fellow through the American College of Healthcare Executives, a lifelong community volunteer, named one of the Top 25 Women in Business in Charlotte, NC and the Public Health Leader of the Year for 2023 in Charlotte, NC among numerous other accolades.
Katie loves being with her husband Rich, 11-year-old son Gavin and their 4-legged son- 200-pound English Mastiff, Rufus.
Kaney earned her DrPH in Public Health and Health Leadership from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and her MBA and BA from University of Buffalo.
